I currently serve as the Chief Financial Officer and have been with Midwest Medical Center since May, 2014 when I was first hired as the Controller. I have served in the role of CFO and Director of Finance for small critical access hospitals in the Southwest Wisconsin area since 2008. I further earned my fellowship designation from the HFMA in November, 2016.
What are 3 words to describe your company?
Hospital, Clinic, & Senior Care
What does a typical day look like for you?
Being in a small rural hospital, it is not unusual to be pulled into a multitude of different directions throughout the day and providing decision support in various meetings. However, diving deep into spreadsheets is what I enjoy the most about my daily routine. I take great pride in being the Financial Gatekeeper for Midwest Medical Center. At the end of my day currently, I enjoy taking a run with my Cross Country kids as I coach for the Benton, Southwestern, Cuba City Team.
What is on your wish list for the next 10 years?
To continue growth in our service area, providing valuable quality services to our community and to remain a strong independent organization.
If you were stuck on an island what three things would you bring?
My Spouse, Food, and Water.
Any random facts you could share with us?
I have been a volunteer EMT for over 10 years. I also enjoy volunteer coaching for the local high school cross country and track teams.
You’re happiest when?
I am out on a run, even in 30 below zero weather or pouring down rain.
Why did you join HFMA Wisconsin?
I joined HFMA Wisconsin in 2008 because I was very interested in networking with other great healthcare finance professionals in the industry and expanding my knowledge with Healthcare Finance.
