4 Webinars on Wednesdays in 2018
February 1, February 8, March 1 & March 29 11:00am-12:00 noon CST We have joined forces with five other chapters as a joint certification coaching course to be presented as webinars by Christoph Stauder. The six chapters are: CT, MA/RI, ME, NH/VT, SC and WI. One webinar covers exam 1 and testing strategies. Three webinars will present two case studies from one of the three environments. These webinars will help you apply business judgement to case studies that describe various situations, opportunities and challenges that one might confront as a provider, payer or physician group. How do you teach strategic thinking? We have Christoph Stauder to help develop business judgment by observing decisions of others and what would have been better or different. The course outline and registration information will be distributed in January 2018! Did you know our chapter has an app? You can find contact information for other members.. You can see the calendar with upcoming events and webinars. Go online and download our free app today and be in the know on your mobile device. You can even message other members. Try it out today! Organization Name: Bellin Health
Tell us a little bit about yourself: I grew up on a farm in central WI with my little sister who I gave such a hard time and we got into a lot of trouble! I love being outside doing anything, I purposely live in an apartment so I don’t spend much time inside. My crystal ball tells me a puppy adoption is in my near future, super exciting! What are 3 words to describe your company? Innovative, growing, friendly What does a typical day look like for you? Meetings, meetings, meetings, work with my teams, build leaders, meetings What is on your wish list for the next 10 years?
If you were stuck on an island what three things would you bring? Swimsuit, sunscreen, a book Any random facts you could share with us? I have gone skydiving 3 times in my life. I stopped there considering statistically my odds were against me after three times of jumping out of a perfectly good airplane You are happiest when? I am helping someone see their exceptional potential and when I am out in the woods Why did you join HFMA? I am very fortunate my Director offered me the chance to check out HFMA, together we have learned so much and have made some fantastic connections and friends. Organization Name Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) Tell us a little about yourself? I've been in Healthcare for over 15 years in various roles and a number of great organizations. I've been involved with chargemaster functions, business office management, front end revenue cycle and now I'm the System Director of Revenue Integrity responsible for charge capture and process standardization for our 15 hospitals in Wisconsin and Illinois. I grew up in the Madison area, attending Edgewood College for my bachelor's in Business and I earned my MBA from University of Iowa. I'm dual certified in Epic for Hospital and Professional Billing, and I recently earned my CHFP credential. What are 3 words to describe your company? Strong Franciscan Standardizing What does a typical day look like for you? I'm a single mom to three young kids (a 5 year old and 3 year old boy/girl twins) so not a single day is the same. I'm up early getting them ready for school/daycare, to work and then back to pick them up before after school activities, dinner, baths and bedtime. After they are in bed, I catch up on email, reading or enjoy a glass of wine. What is on your wish list for the next 10 years? World peace. Is that too much to ask? You’re happiest when? I love spending time with my kids and watching them explore, learn and grow. We spend lots of time at the parks, farmer's markets in the spring/summer and spending time with friends. Why did you join HFMA Wisconsin? I joined HFMA Wisconsin because my early career mentor was a member and officer. She was very supportive and encouraging of exploring various areas of interest - even when that meant I would leave working for her twice for other opportunities. I've really enjoyed meeting so many great people and I look forward to getting more involved in the chapter through volunteering. The HFMA Board of Examiners (BoE) periodically reviews certification performance, and as a result of its most recent review, has approved a new model for the CRCR assessment. This follows the protocols of other HFMA certification programs and meets all psychometric standards. Updates to the CRCR assessment, effective as of 9/22/17, include:
Important Note: The CRCR program study materials have not changed and progress for a learner in the eLearning program will not be affected. Email careerservices@hfma.org with any questions. |
